About Blanes

About Blanes

Blanes, is a coastal town in Girona (Catalonia). It is the first village of the well-known Costa Brava, so it is called the “Gateway to the Costa Brava.” In Roman times it was called Blanda or Blandae.

Blanes, is also a popular tourist town in the Catalan and Spanish geography, where coves and beaches surrounded by mountains and pines make this site a perfect place for tourism and relax. Among the best places to visit in Costa Brava, a must-see place not forget is the small beach called “Cala Bona”.

Beside its beaches and coves, and also around downtown, you will find many bars and restaurants, where you can taste typical local cuisine, or nice cocktail bars where you can have a drink in their terrace with sea views.
